Everyone should do what they are truly inspired by. And that’s exactly what hard-working freshman Minji Chae is proceeding to do with her anticipated career as a nurse. She felt destined to help the world after attending several mission trips to places such as Buctzotz and Yucatan in Mexico and witnessing the need of improved health care.
Minji was accepted into Florida State University, ranked #8 as one of the top 20 party schools in the United States, according to CBS News. But, she rejected her acceptance in order to stay focused while she works on getting her associate’s degree. “School is school, you do your work. Palm Beach State is better than what I had originally anticipated,” Chae said.

She is currently juggling school, work at American Eagle, tutoring, and her involvement with her church. She is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society and is excited to get more involved with the organization.

When she’s not hard at work, Minji enjoys anything that has to do with music. “I can’t dance but I like dancing,” Chae said. She also likes to sing and play instruments such as the guitar. Once her time is up here at Palm Beach State College, she hopes to attend UF, FSU, or USF.
