Palm Beach State Women’s Basketball continue their winning ways

Me Me Ward and Laquandra Brazil led the Panthers forward on their continuous winning streak by defeating Southeastern Conference rivals Miami Dade by a final of 94-71 at the January 23 match up.
At the half, the Panthers led 52-27 but in the third the Panthers let the Sharks cut the lead to only 13 within 10 minutes of the second half starting.
The closest the Sharks ever got was down 13 thanks to the spectacular play of Me Me Ward and Laquandra Brazil. Both Ward and Brazil recorded double doubles as Ward had 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Brazil collected 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Guard Kayla Dayton recorded 21 points and six assists while Janay Borum had a solid night with 10 points, four assists, and four steals.
With the win, the Panthers move to 18-1 in the season. Their February games will be again Brevard College on Feb. 1, Indian River on Feb.  4, and local rivals Broward College on Feb. 8 and Miami Dade on Feb. 11.
