Palm Beach State College will Launch Nursing Bachelor’s Degree. PBSC nursing program In today’s working economy some careers have been growing more and more, one of them, nursing. And as we all know Palm Beach State College started offering Bachelor’s programs last year, but starting on January the College will be offering its much anticipated program Bachelor of Science in Nursing program to help registered nurses with associate degrees boos their training.
For all the students that are interested an information session will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm.m August 25 in Room 129 in the Natural Science building on the Lake Worth campus, 4200 Congress Ave. Faculty and advisors will be held on hand to answer any questions about the requirements and the application process for the program. The application deadline for the inaugural class of up to 150 students is October 1st.
“I am pumped. I can’t wait to get this program up and going and to let the nurses begin,” said Dr. Gary Reardon in a press release for the College, program director, who has been a registered nurse for 30 years.
“I want nurses to embrace the future because the future is in education. Nurses should be practicing at the highest level of education that they possibly can.”
This marks the third bachelor’s degree program at the College. The program includes 36 credit hours (12 classes) and a capstone project with two clinical components: community and leadership. Courses will be offered online and in person.
