On Thursday, October 13, the South Association of Colleges and Schools Reaffirmation – Commission of Colleges (SACS-COC) of Accreditation visiting team concluded their three-day site visit at Palm Beach State College.
Palm Beach State College President, Dr. Dennis Gallon, announced shortly thereafter that the visiting team has confirmed what you already know…that Palm Beach State College is a qualityacademic institution!
Dr. Gallon stated that Palm Beach State College did not receive any recommendations. And that the college received what is considered the highest compliment an institution of higher learning can receive. The college’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) was deemed acceptable and the college can proceed with its implication of the program.
“The college is extremely pleased with the findings of the SACS-COC visiting team and to receive no recommendations in its compliance report is almost unheard. We are very proud of the college and everyone that helped to make this a successful reaffirmation,” said Dr. Sharon Sass, Vice President of Academic Affairs.
“I am thrilled that the SACS team found our QEP acceptable. This is the largest team effort I’ve ever been a part of, and I am so pleased with
the level of participation from everyone,” said Karen Pain, Quality Enhancement Plan Manager. “It’s been exciting and I now look forward to continued interaction with faculty, staff, and students as we begin implementation next spring.”
Dr. Gallon also shared that on top of all the great achievements, the accreditation team called special attention to the amazing facilities and the overall positive attitude and support of everyone at the college. Congratulations Palm Beach State College!
