On Thursday October 13 the South Association of Colleges and Schools Reaffirmation – Commission of Colleges (SACS-COC) of Accreditation visiting team concluded their three-day site visit at Palm Beach State College.

Palm Beach State College President, Dr. Dennis Gallon was pleased to inform that the visiting team has confirmed what you already know that Palm Beach State College is a quality academic institution!

Dr. Gallon shared that Palm Beach State College did not receive any recommendations. This is considered the highest compliment an institution can receive. The college’s Quality Enhancement Plan was deemed acceptable and the college can proceed with its implication of the program.

“The college is extremely pleased with the findings of the SACS-COC visiting team and to receive no recommendations in its compliance report is almost unheard. We are very proud of the college and everyone that helped to make this a successful reaffirmation, “  stated Dr. Sharon Sass, Vice President of Academic Affairs.

“I am thrilled that the SACS team found our QEP acceptable. This is the largest team effort I’ve ever been a part of, and I am so pleased with the level of participation from everyone,” said Karen Pain, Quality Enhancement Plan Manager. “It’s been exciting and I now look forward to  continued interactionwith faculty, staff, and students as we begin implementation next spring.”

Dr. Gallon also informed that on top of all the great achievements, they called special attention to our amazing facilities and the overall positive attitude and support of everyone at the College.  Congratulations Palm Beach State College!
