LCG Ecology Club of Palm Beach State College at the Boca Raton campus will be supporting “The Miami & the Beaches Environmental Film Festival” beginning on October 12 – 23, 2011.
This innovative celebration is the first of its kind to bring cutting edge environmental documentaries to South Florida community. The two-week long event includes films, parties, and student short-film showings that demonstrate passionscantly seen in respects to environmental awareness.
Included in the showings are such films as “Play Again” by Tonje Hessen, an innovative documentary plunging the fact that in one generation the majority of the people in the U.S. will have spent more time in virtual reality than in reality itself. Other films include “Queen of the Sun,” “Mother: Caring for 7 Billion,” “The Light Bulb Conspiracy,” “The Pipe,” and “City Dark.”
LCG Ecology Club’s immersion in this film festival as well as its attendance at the SEJ Environment Conference is aimed to provide the student body with top sourced issues and solutions regarding the environment.
